John "Eesa" Starling, an American convert, was born and raised in North Carolina. ‎During his studies at North Carolina State University, John aided in the creation of ‎Al-Qawlul Mufeed assisting with its proofreading, designing, and distribution. After ‎graduating from NCSU's college of management with a BS in Business Management ‎John went on to further his education at the Islamic University of Medina, Saudi ‎Arabia. In the semester prior to receiving his associates degree with honors in the ‎Arabic language he revived the publication becoming Al-Qawlul Mufeed's editor-in-‎chief and main contributor. Since then, John has become active in inviting to Islam in ‎America and publishing various other works both written and audio. He is ‎currently in his last semester in the Islamic University of Medina's College of Islamic ‎Theology and Mission and continues as Editor-in-Chief and active contributor with Al-‎Qawlul Mufeed.‎
